Blister blaster

I did the unthinkable yesterday. I tore my blister. (Maybe Silas is my middle name). It was painful at that moment but today it's red, dried and wrinkled like a preserved cranberry...Pain has also subsided today so I shall be able to run freely tomorrow..hurrah! Must use my New Balance 1060 instead of 901..

Dr. T. says: I think if you pierce the blister, but don't rip the skin, and drain it, it will be less painful and it heals faster. You will be left with a piece of hard skin on it as protection. If you tore or burst it badly, like the skin actually rips off so it exposes the raw bit, then you should get some blister plasters. They are like a bit of skin to cover the raw part until it heals.

The NB1060 is definitely a better shoe. Break-in once over 6km and ran 20km with it. No problem at all. Tis is a wonderful shoe, although I still hv very good memories of Saucony. Thats the shoe I ran with in my best marathon. MY dream now is to get the franchise to sell Saucony shoes in Malaysia.
