A warm welcome to Toffee and Snow

Hurrah! I have fulfilled yet another resolution. Was at pasar malam tonight, accompanying a friend to buy shorts and lo and behold! I saw a pet stall!First i saw little guppies swimming, then i saw some terrapins and then voila! There it was, an aquarium full of little furry creatures. Hamsters R us!Could not resist it, so i chose an active little one, turned out to be male. Then i saw another beautiful little one in a white fur coat...yup, definitely female! Brought them home and put them in (what used to be Bubu's) house. They were exhilarated ( i think) as they had been stuck in an aquarium with a bunch of other furry creatures and no toys to play. They were happily exploring their new home, climbing the bars and monkeying around. Oh, and their names are Toffee (male) and Snow (female). Snow was getting acquainted with the wheel, she looks really cute trying to balance herself everytime she runs and suddenly stops. I hope they will have a family soon!

My exercise today:
*4.08km on treadmill
*30 reps push up
*30 reps reverse flye (3 kg each)
*30 reps dumbell row (6kg each)
*45 straight legged crunches
*40 side crunches (each side)
* 1 minute bridge

My food diary:
*Breakfast - tosai and dhall, Milo O
*Lunch - Sar hor fun
*Dinner- Arrowroot soup, stir fried loofah & prawns, fried siew pak choy, oyster sauce chicken

Inflation, go take a hike.

It's really annoying, price increase everywhere. Starbucks no longer gives loyalty cards, they've taken away all discounts, prices have gone up and now they don't even have breakfast sets anymore!How annoying!And Starbucks coffee is the only coffee i enjoy. Well, i guess that's one way of helping me to reduce my caffeine intake. Petrol price has increased, hmm let me see what else. Cost of business has increased as well. It's getting more and more expensive to live in KL. Rats. Anyway, on the brighter side of things I've taken the first step to achieve one of my resolutions ie. I have signed up for my first trial kickboxing class. Hurrah! Can't wait!

My exercise for the day:
*40 min on ellyptical machine
*Reverse crunches with fitball
*Crunches with fitball
*Double crunch with fitball

My diet for the day:
*Breakfast: coffee and toast
*Lunch: 2 pieces of fried chicken (which negates resolution #1)
*Dinner: 1 slice of homemade bread with margarine and strawberry jam, Jeremiah 15

Running slug

Back on the treadmill. 3.5km is enough to kill me....how on earth did i ever manage 42? Need to psyche myself up again. I'd really love to try another marathon again...but not so sure if i can beat my previous time. Somehow i always get lazy in the middle of the year. Need some motivation!

I Am A Slug

Overnight Legend

Bubu became a legend overnight. His pictures were splashed all over the pet column in Sin Chew Jit Poh yesterday...and he died this morning!:( I guess it was time for him to go...being 2.5 years old. He was getting weak, and his eyesight was deteriorating. Oh well...i guess we are all candles in the wind..
